A man who was shot after allegedly aiming a shotgun at a Pennsylvania State Police trooper during a reported suicidal episode, now faces trial on charges related to the incident. Christian Fritsch, 41, of Lower Milford Township outside Coopersburg, appeared before District Judge Daniel Trexler on Wednesday for his preliminary hearing on aggravated assault and reckless endangerment charges. Fritsch waived the hearing, sending the charges to Lehigh County Court. Fritsch remains free after posting $50,000 bail.
